It's not been defined as that. Life support is typically defined as
respirator, and mechanical means to breath.
How about people in nursing homes who have Alzheimer's, and have no sense
of the world around them, and have to be fed by a nurse, aid, or family
member? Should they be killed/starved since they can't feed themselves?
Where do you draw the line?
Do you kill anyone who is impaired to the point that they require anyone
else to help them live?
