H Pete. I agree with most of what you say, but you must consider that
everyone cannot afford to attend a national convention. I enjoyed New
Orleans, but it took a big, !BIG!, bite out of my pocket book. I could
afford it, but considering the 70+% unemployment rate among the blind, you
could understand that most blind persons could not. Also, those same blind
persons probably couldn't afford a trip to Baltimore. As for chapter
meetings, our local chapter decided to take July off, so you would have to
wait to August to find out what happened at the convention if you weren't
there. A former boss of mine said, "When you ASSUME, you make an ass out
of you and me.
