The whole purpose to getting her knees replaced is so that she can ride
more often with less pain. Dave and I went out to take a lesson from
her tonight but Smokey is still lame so I couldn't and Dave forgot to
duck when riding out the people gate at one of the arenas and still has
a stiff neck. He would have ridden if it had been a little cooler
and if I could have. Thank goodness he had his helmet on or I think he
would have been knocked unconscious.
VN> Well - with me it's a congenital thing - found out today that it's

Geesh. Keep us informed. Okay?
VN> You're feeding grain and they are shrinking? They must be WORKING!
The Counselors in Training do the feeding in the summer and they feed
all the horses like they were small Arabs on a lay off no matter how big
they are or how much they are working. Fortunately my horses spend a
lot of time out in pasture or it would be worse. I've started adding
pellets to the grain so they don't get any thinner. We boarders go
behind these girls checking everything they do. Most of the
boarders hate camp time. I like what camp buys for us. Last year we
got lights and water all over the place. The covered arena (which the
camp paid for) has enough lights that if we want we can jump after dark.
We only have 3 more weeks till they go home for the year and we are
already starting to plan the party.
