John, I have a copy of The Complete Book of Fighters by William
Green and Gordon Swanborough here. The ISBN# is 0-8317-3939-8, and the
book is published by Salamander books in the UK. Copyright is 1994.
The book covers only fighters, but includes all the fighters
ncluding
experimental models from WWI to the present, and their variants for all the
nations flying fighter aircraft during that period. Very good coverage on
WWII era fighters.
