subject: Atari 825 Printer

I am used to asking question on dip switch settings and such on printers when
I obtain them without the manual; but in this case, I HAVE the manual and
it's no help.

The printer is an Atari 825, which I am told is a lightly-OEMed Centronics
737. The manual makes no mention of it, but might have a four DIP switches in
a block on the circuit board; what do these do?

The manual also mentions one fuse; it turns out the board has THREE. I've
stuck in replacement fuses, but not sure what the extras do.

I may have a cable or other problem. The printer's power light (on the
circuit board) goes on, but the printer is unresponsive to commands. It is
also unresponsive to flipping the switch to advance or reverse the paper,
which I *assume* would work whether the printer is hooked to anything or not.
Yes, I am aware of the online/local distinction; that switch doesn't seem to
change anything, no matter where it is set. Any ideas?
