Maybe as a rule, but the fastest can be at greater risk at times.

Yep, quickness counts but I've seen overreactions without good judgment. 
Just saying because one is 50 or 60 or even 70 and above it doesn't mean in
a particular situation they may not be better suited to the circumstance.

I know a 70 yo who has run a couple of marathons under 3 hours.
