-=>While in the White Hart, Dennis Menard explained to Fred Runk that<=-
DM> Sam Elliot played John D.MacDonald's "Travis McGee" in a movie by the
DM> same name in 1983; it was, as you said, based on the book, "The Empty
DM> Copper Sea." Paul Newman played Ross MacDonald's "Lew Harper" in a
DM> movie called "Harper," in 1966; it was based on the book, "The Moving
DM> Target." 10 years later - in 1976 - he again played "Lew Harper" in a
DM> sequel entitled, "The Drowning Pool," based on the book by the same
DM> name.
Thanks for info. I may have seen both "Harper" movies then--THE DROWNING
POOL sounds familiar.
"ud" was from 1963, "ombre" and "arry and Son" (which you did not
DM> mention) were in 1967 and 1984, respectively. "Hondo" was actually a
DM> John Wayne movie from 1953. :)
I wasn't sure about HONDO when I typed it, but I couldn't think of any other
"H" movie title. Don't remember arry and Son at all.
Hmmm, do you think I'll get any other messages informing me that HONDO was a
John Wayne flick?
DM> Hope you will find this information useful.
You bet! Thanks
