subject: Passwordfile bug / problem

Hi Radu,

RM> In the Outbound window this point has a "!" at the end.
RM> When the user calls using Xenia, he says that my system
 RM> doesn't report a password. So, what's the catch?

I am assuming you are using Bink 2.60 here, some of the other versions may
handle this different, however most follow this general method. The !
symbol in the outbound window indicates that the node number the ! is
against cannot found in the compiled nodelist that Bink is using.

Bink obtains the password details from the compiled NODELIST, you need to
compile the nodelist with the session level password included for this
particular node. If the node is NOT in the nodelist (the ! indication),
then no password is going to be found when sessions are attempted. For
Points, you need to manually add them to your nodelist compiler
configuration file so that they ARE included in the generated Nodelist.

I hope this helps.........pk.
