all of the system type icons, mycomputer, documents, network neighborhood,
and similar, are shortcuts to explorer which is little more (or less) than
IE... they are just focused on local resources instead of WAN (aka
internet) resources... this is why IE can't be removed from winwhatever
like it used to be... they are all using the same DLLs to render the
data... this is also why you get deutrius in the IE temporary internet
files areas even when you don't use IE for web browsing... other apps use
those system DLLs and they use the data from those cache dirs...
