I was forbidden from using *any* encyclopoedia as a reference source for 
the same reasons.  They are a could quick reference, but real research
requires far more intense digging to get to first hand sources.

That's the way it schould be.  My daughter had a teacher who should have
failed himself.  He required research papers be only taken fron the cd
dictionary on the school's computers.  Easier for the asshole to check the
students' references, doncha see.
