-> On 18 Mar 09 15:54:57, Richard Webb got back to Dave Drum -> Re: wikipedia, was war crimes DD> considered a reliable source to any except those who find an article DD> that supports their position. RW> I know a couple of educators, or three . NOne of them RW> will accept wiki as a reference on any papers turned in by RW> students. THis is for both college level and high school. RW> they do not consider wiki valid as its so-called facts are RW> not vetted before being published. I was forbidden from using *any* encyclopoedia as a reference source for the same reasons. They are a could quick reference, but real research requires far more intense digging to get to first hand sources. RW> ONe, a professor, will automatically fail any student using RW> wiki as a reference in college level research etc. That's the way it schould be. My daughter had a teacher who should have failed himself. He required research papers be only taken fron the cd dictionary on the school's computers. Easier for the asshole to check the students' references, doncha see. --- OMX/Blue Wave/DOS v2.30* Origin: Soundly on the Fault Line (1:138/666.0) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 34/999 120/228 123/500 128/2 140/1 226/0 249/303 250/306 SEEN-BY: 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1418 266/1413 280/1027 320/119 396/45 SEEN-BY: 633/260 267 285 712/848 800/432 801/161 189 2222/700 2320/100 105 SEEN-BY: 2905/0 @PATH: 138/666 146 140/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
