Hi! Tom, On Sat, 28 Dec 13, you wrote to me: TW> Left out one point. you have to set the printers up as SHARED as I TW> recall. I have not done any networking in quite a while. Our youngest daughter went through the XP->Vista->Win7 upgrades which effectively cut her off from our LAN setup. Vista & Win7 refused to network with us, no matter what secrets/tricks I tried. So, I gave up too. One good thing came of it though: we scored a second XP licence. :) Which is what Barb is using these days. I'm using our first licence on my PC, downstairs. Both are running courtesy of VirtualBox on our U'u machines. That is what I use OO for, on my U'u... very rarely though. It's probably been over 12 months since I've run OO up for anything. We still rely on MS Office Pro 2003 for every day use. I can use it on Barb's XP vBox remotely from my U'u PC, in a RDP session. Only one of us can use it at any one time though, since XP allows only a single user session. On a related thought: I sometimes do Barb's backups from my PC downstairs, using RDP. It's a mind-bending situation then, since I'm remote-controlling Barb's XP which is backing up its files to another (Linux) vBox on my U'u PC. :) Cheers, Paul. ... Tower case?
