subject: Bink Crashing Problem

Hi Gord,

good to hear the ol' DESQVIEW echo is still active.

GH> I have been running Binkley under DV for over 5 years now
GH> without any problems perhaps this might help:

Over 7 years here; boringly solid, best (noticed) uptime over 3 months :)

 GH> Uses serial ports (Y,N,1,2)..........: [2]

I load BNU before DV, and so use N for that. Otherwise, aboot the same.

 GH> This system is 386DX/40 8MB RAM Dos 6.2 DV 2.63 Qemm 7.04.

386sx16, 6Mb, DOS 5, DV 2.34, QEMM 5.13 :) Not broke, so I've never fixed
it. Running the same 9 tasks it's run next to forever, and it's never quit
unless I've tried out some mad game or such, or the power fails. It's long
just done Fidonet stuff though .. the real computers here run OS/2 and
FreeBSD.

Michael didn't say what Bink his friend runs. 2.60 here. Before that 2.59
and (overlayed) predecessors ran in 384-400K, but 2.60 needs most of the
528K I give it here. The XR DOS versions that do work in DV may well need
more ..

Cheers, Ian
