Ah, yes.  I thought so.  I am slowing down.  That's why it took a
double-take.  I was having a 'dig' at Mark.  :)

I gave up writing anything ages ago.  Even telephone messages for my wife
are taken down into emails these days, since both of our machines can email
each other across the LAN; no external email facility required as I run a
server.  No niggling little scraps of paper or sticky notes to lose,
either.

Full marks to you.  That's probably partly why I failed English at school. 
I couldn't remember things then and I still can't.  It's a good thing that
it's the only language that I have to know.  :)
