These are interesting platforms and many new games are being developed and
sold for these platforms till this day as the homebrew movement is still very
strong. As an example, these new games pushes the limits of the C=64 and are
able to make something really interesting.
These will never look like the latest game where you need an i9, 3 graphics
card in SLI and 64Gb of RAM to just load it up (exagerating just a little) but
they are still a very valid market.
They also make very good platforms to learn.
