Hi! Ed, On Sun, 02 Feb 14, you wrote to me: EV> 1. I still have the two CD's that came with my Windows95 laptop that EV> has a failed HDD in it, and I was wondering if since the box is EV> ususable could I use those disks to install a W95 VM on my XP box? This is the plan I'd go with. In the end, I think you may need something with a network function that would be easier than shuffling floppy disks. Plain ol' DOS just can't do networking, without extreme trial & error... I know of _one_ guy who has done it. If you want to go with this option, email me and I'll send some PDF 'notes' on how I did it with Win98SE. If you install Win95 then you have to option to 'Restart in DOS mode' with the next-to-last best MS-DOS ever. (I like Alan's answer too.) Cheers, Paul. ... It's Monday!?! I want a recount. --- Paul's Win98SE VirtualBox* Origin: Quinn's Post - Maryborough, Queensland, OZ (3:640/384) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 280 640/384 1384 712/0 620 848 @PATH: 640/384 712/848 633/267 |
