At that time, years ago, I only had the 3.5" DOOM II installation diskettes and
no Internet access until 1995.  I got dial-up and then they (bellsouth) talked
me into DSL, which was a problem because I could not turn off ports
individually and now I have AT&T Uverse and a router I can do anything I want
with (within reason).  (-:
 
When I attached a brand new router to the computer, I discovered that the DSL
modem had a built-in router and so the two were fighting for control and that
subsequently led to a heated exchange between bellsouth tech support and yours
truly for not telling me about that.
