      I've made some progress, but there are still issues with both the
building of the package and installing it;  things like issues with
getting the files installed with the correct ownership and permissions. 
Think I'm going to change how I'm doing that, though I may not be able to
work on it as much as I'd like in for the next little while (got laid
off...) What I'm working on for it is browsable at:

     I know the compile defaults are and/or have been different;  ran
across that issue creating an Ubuntu version of another program so I could
get it up on my ppa at launchpad.   What else they do isn't the easiest to
figure out...
