MK> MK> If you continue to jump into discussions between other people in MK> MK> this manner you might earn yourself a vacation. MK> MK> WM> Please excuse me Michael, I monitor this conference because my wife MK> WM> was adopted, and who is wondering about her past. There are also MK> WM> other conferences that I not only monitor, but actively participate MK> WM> in. In these conferences, it is common place for a third party to MK> WM> respond to messages between two other persons. It's done all the MK> WM> time... by myself and the others. It also happens locally on my BS. MK> WM> I believe the word is FORUM. MK> MK> You had overlooked the key phrase in my message to Ron - "in this anner". MK> The manner in which he jumped into the conversation was what resulted in th MK> reply, not the fact that he jumped into theconversation. Also, when someon MK> has received Netmail messages regarding their postings and then continues MK> along the same thread that the warnings were about, things get more serious MK> MK> WM> On our BBS, and on many others I have visited, we do not condone MK> WM> FLAMING, that is.. any words of a harsh nature. Perhaps that is MK> WM> what you meant to address in this case, rather than "jumping in"??? MK> MK> I will not play "word games" or semantics in the echo. And questions or MK> comments regarding Moderator policy though welcomed, are restricted to MK> Netmail. That way they do not cause any disruption of the echo's normal MK> discussions. That is almost directly out of the echo rules. 'nuff said. MK> MK> And I have been requested by the parties involved (via netmail) to "drop th MK> matter" so there is no need for any further discussions about it out of MK> respect for their wishes. That is almost directly out of the echo rules. 'nuff said. My apologies! I was trying to be helpful, and point out a different perspective... for I detected a smidgen of acrimony in your missive. Regarding the "Restriction", I am indeed surprised that you speak this way, when it seems that you were the one who delivered "The Warning" on the echo, midst the echo's normal discussions. Would you please be so kind as to forward me a copy of the echo's rules, as I have never had the occasion to see them. Thank you for your kind reply.
