Well, I was not proposing 24 meter towers...just two to four meters...or whatever is within reason with simple materials, such as metal conduit pipe, etc. The temperature sensor could be a thermistor. In the US such a thermistor is a couple dollars, and then you use a resistance meter to measure temperature. >If I could put >numbers >on the twinkling of a star in zenith or measure the seeing disk this >would be a >way. I would just walk between the different sites and measure. Not >simultaneously but good enough. There is a Pickering Scale that describes quality of seeing...that was designed for a five inch aperture. Do a google search on it, or in the ATM archives. But also keep track of temperatures and other local weather data...you may detect some interesting trends. Tom Krajci Tashkent, Uzbekistan -+- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
