DHI>CB> These are obviously MIDI files (I recognized the sounds of my
DHI>CB> Gravis Ultrasound :) In some of the games you can find .XMI files
DHI>CB> which is a MIDI file format. There is plenty software you can
DHI>CB> use to convert these into .MID files :)
DHI>CB> Few games use the .MOD format.
DHI>A lot of games have their own format. DOOM uses a .MUS format. BTW, I've
DHI>heard
DHI>there were programs to extract modules (.MOD, .S3M, etc.,) from
DHI>programs. Does
DHI>anyone know about that?
There are several "rippers" that are used to "rip" musics, graphics
and animation files from demos and games.
Most of them work well, but sometimes a different module type is
used by the coder, who converts it with a special program (or it
is an unknown type), these are not playable by cubic player :(
