This was a ship encountered by the USS Magellan on a deep space probe.  The
design philosophy is unique to the creating race.  There was some tension
as contact was initiated.  The aliens who owned the ship used symbols and
codes that baffle the best cyrptanalys and linguists to this day.  Apparent
Federation Linguacode, designed to be easily translated using mathermatics
and knowledge of physics, was as mysterious to these people.

The Magellan observed these people counducting what seems to have been
routine scouting missiion of the planet pictured where they stayed grounded
for a week. Individuals from the crew did not respond with hostiliy when
approached by away teams from the Magellan but would abandon thier task to
pursue attempts at communication.


After a week the ship lifted off,  left a large, complex message for the
Magellan and disappeared.

continued probes into the region have yet to identify a home port for these
people or cointact any others.

A full Starship mission is recommended to follow up on this contact.
