I've had progressive lenses for years now, wouldn't go back at all.
Also, got them in prescription as well, works great for reading while at
the beach/pool/outside.
You just have to learn what the work distances are for best vision for
computers, etc.
My one problem, is my upper dual LCD (I have 4 monitors, 2 over 2), those
17" LCD's are in the distance angle of my lenses, which makes for a
bit of "upward looking" for critical reading. Luckily, for the
audio editing, the items are pretty large on screen. I do all the typing
and such on the lower pair, which sits down and tilted back at an angle.
