subject: telix doorway mode

PG>GP>OK so I turn on doorway mode..yes trun it on and off...but how would
PG>GP>that gave me greater keyborad control??? wouldn't that control be if
PG>GP>other computer hookup to your and enter the doorway when it was open???
PG>GP>Have you tryed is out side of running door games on your BBS??
PG>While doorway mode games are one reason to have doorway mode, any program
PG>you run through your computer with Telix which requires all of the
PG>keystrokes (or even one of them) might require doorwar mode. For
nstance,
PG>I am a Remote Sysop of a TBBS (The Bread Board System) bulletin board.
ne
PG>of the facilities at this system permits me to drop out of the BBS program
PG>into DOS and to the configuration programs just as if I was sitting there
PG>at the console of the BBS machine. But the configuration program requires
PG>me to use a bunch of Alt-key commands--and as you know, Telix uses a lot
f
PG>Alt-key commands for its own control, too. Doorway mode permits me to
end
PG>those Alt-key commands to the BBS computer (except for, of course, the
PG>Alt-= which toggles me into and out of doorway mode).
PG>If you need it, you need it. If you don't need it, don't sweat it.
HI Pete...know since I'm knot a SysOp of a BBS and I don't use all my
Alt-key commands in telix..ok..So your saying in the statement above if
I understand right...with other computer hook-up to you come enter the
doorway mode if it's turn on and see that's on your HD if the other
person know how to use the Alt-key commands to jump to dos on your
computer in telix. See I like to try this with a friend of my who I
truth knot to del a thing on my HD after he pass through the
doorway..which he use to run telix at one time a was a SysOp to of his
BBS..Maybe you answer my question about the doorway mode in telix and I
just haven't seen it in your statement above or your didn't answer the
question the way I was hoping to be answer..I real don't know..:)
Well catchya later
