Yep, you'll have to d/l a file to make it K56Flex and/or call a bbs or
site on the Internet to "load" it. USR is this way with x2; with my 3
Couriers I d/l'ed the flashrom code, ran it in, (it is an executable
file), and then had to call an 800# with the modem to get it
'activated.'
And, yeah, the online manual sucks.

As long as they'll talk to each other, I really couldn't care if the
modem was Rockwell or TI or Motorola...but my ISP currently supports x2
and that's what I surf with.
