MS>VH> Hmmm . . . maybe you should fire those five deputies and hire the
MS>VH> woman.
MS> My point is just that doped-up felons may be beyond the ability of any
MS>one single person of _either_ sex to handle.
And my point is that combat is open ended -- that is, there is no point
at which you can say that additional capabilities wouldn't be an
advantage. So your point reinforces my point.
What this means that at 125 lbs, the officer can be expected to
successfully deal with, say 5% of the situations he or she encounters.
At 175 lbs, he or she can deal with, say 75%, and at 225 lbs, he or she
can deal with, say 95% (assuming, of course, that we're talking about
muscle here, not fat :-)).
So, even though there are situations which NO man, however large, can
handle alone, this merely proves my point: Combat is open-ended. The
bigger and stronger you are, the MORE likely you are to be able to
handle a scuffle. Conversely, the smaller and weaker you are, the LESS
likely you are to be able to deal with such a situation by yourself,
without resorting to force escallation.
