Hi Vincent!
> I was wondering if any nice people out there could give me a low down
-> on different casette types that is type1, type2 etc...normal bias,
-> high bias etc... What their advantages/disadvantages (Aside from
-> cost) and what they are usually used for in recording?
While I could launch into a detailed description of what each of these
are, it really doesn't matter. Only the one that is best suited to your
particular machine, that most closely meets your biasing requirements
or that your machine has been specifically setup to use is really
needed.
Your user manual should give you the general information as to what is
the best tape to use on your machine or your friendly neighborhood audio
technician can align your machine for one of your favorite formulations
that work with your machine best.
Then, that will be the best tape to use when recording on your machine.
Making sure that your machine is properly setup to the biasing
requirements of the tape is of considerable importance in making quality
recordings.
