Too old to reply, and who would voluntarily dive into a T Schaivo discussion? My wife and I stayed for a bit with an old Navy friend in Jacksonville Florida, newly retired and a single mom; she is home-schooling her son with some woman down the road. She was saying they had to discuss what textbooks to get, and I (knowing her prolictivities) slyly suggested I'd send her "The Origin of Species", to which she replied, "What's that?" I told her and got the expected disapproving glare. She later told her children (we saw a "Darwin fish" on a car) that Darwin said Man wasn't created the way Jesus said, then amended that to "the way the Bible says." We did not, needless to say, discuss politics or the afore-mentioned Ms. Schaivo. But I got some quality cat-and-dog time, with my wife sitting as far away as possible-- a pug, a dachshund, and a shedding long-haired cat all draped over me! -- Steve http://www.qmss.com/sewing --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
