I just downloaded rhide.i386.rpm from www.rhide.com.
That's the good news.
Now, my questions.


What is an "rpm" file, anyway.  Is it compressed?  Does it contain other 
stuff inside?  If so, how can I get to that other stuff?  How can I 
decompress it?

The download was 2.79 MB.  I downloaded it in my Windows system.  Now 
I've got to get it into my Linux system.  Any ideas?
