first try a different midi file player. netscape's media player (i
don't know if it does midi) is designed for use on/with the net, it
should work. or look for a way to change the task/player to a high
priority task. it also could be your hardware/setup..
by the way, if you're into midi and you spend a lot of time browsing,
look for a package called koan. the company is a little disorganized
and has about 30 different versions of the same software. but it's a
neat algorithmic midi compatible audio player/composer. apparently it's
used by loop guru and brian eno... but i figure they were just paid a
lot of money to say good things about the software. it's useful anyway.
