This pretty much depnds on what you want to see as a freedom. I remember a
comic with a 2*2 matrix where a guy from the Middle East and one from the West
meet other guys from the Middle East and from the West. The guy from the middle
east presents his 5 wifes and the guy from the West presents his husband. You
can guess where the reaction were "nice" and "what a pervert". But the fun part
is that both sides are being liberal, just to something completely different.

For you, it's a free country if you can walk around with your gun in the park,
for me it's a free country if I can walk through the park in the middle of the
night without even needing to think of self-defense. And what might by even
crazier to you: Kids at the age of 16 can just buy a crate of beer all alone at
the supermarket and then drink it in the park. And by beer I mean 5-6 percent
of alcohol. And you can sunbathe naked in the park without offending anyone and
by naked I don't mean topless, but without any clothes. And while the US TV
stations seem to have a problem with language or bare nipples, we have some
stupid dating shows where even more stupid girls present their shaved vulvas in
close-up and HD on free-TV without being blurred out and the guy has to pick
from the vulvas without seeing the faces. And we had a funny game show mockup,
called "Who wants to fuck my girlfriend?", where girls went out on the streets
and their partners got scores everytime someone stared at their breasts,
behinds or crotches or said yes when the girls asked if they wanted to have
sex, for money being offered when they pretended to be streetwalkers and for
generating errections on chatroulette. And in order not to be sexist, they
started of with a special episode called "Who wants to fuck my lesbian
girlfriend?" and they also did a mother's day special.
But maybe you prefer the freedom of not having to see all that.
