| subject: | BinkLA and XR6 |
Hi Steven, DH> I'm not running XR6, Steven, but as a kludge how about running a DH> util like FU or GREP to strip out the lines which cause problems DH> (or to build a new log with just the lines you want to analyze) and DH> then run BinkLa?? SH> I'm not sure which lines create problems and I did try SH> stripping everything but an actual connection but still had SH> the same unsatisfactory result. As good as the "new" Bink SH> is, I'm tempted to revert. It's been a while since I cared but I recall Bob publishing the full source in some sorta BASIC or other, and it might be easy enough to modify for any new lines that are giving it pain? A lot of messages have changed, some only a bit, but the major changes are perhaps in terms of upper/lower case? Sorry, I never could bring myself to hack BASIC code again, not after '81 :-) Still running BinkLA 1.05 (yes!) with Bink 2.60, and while it misses out on doing the cost reports, I'm now doing far too little traffic to mind.
