The secret with the diamond cutters is to let them cut the glass and not
force it.  This keeps the heat down and the diamonds will last a lot
longer. Using the side of the disks is also nice as you get to use both
sides of the disk to make the cuts.  I'll also note that  allowing rust to
start on the disk is a sure method of letting the diamonds out of their
mountings, shortening the life of the disk drastically. Bob May
