Constant feed, because it has to power the cell phone while 
the engine is cranking otherwise it will hang up if I try 
to start the car while talking on the phone. 
The one I use is a Power Sonic PS-1220, 2.0 amp hr 
7" x 1.25" x 2.5"  It only powers the cell phone. 
If you want more then maybe a 6 amp hr would be 
better. The 6 I saw was a little taller and about 
twice as thick. That's all 12 volt.
