Hi Bonnie,
What is a PC leg dislocation?? It sound like something I should know about
but sometimes I'm just out of touch with what's going on...
The Fidonet echos are not nearly as busy as they were ten years ago so I
don't participate much anymore. I don't care for the newsgroups on the
Internet because they are not moderated (from what I can tell anyway) and
they get out of control. However, I put a notice on the Audio echo on
Fidonet that I was in search of a turntable and someone responded with a
Thorens table which I bought. Turntables are becoming very rare in my area,
NW Ohio. I am still in need a another table for my other system so if you
know of anyone who has a good quality turntable for sale please send them my
way. There are probably thousands of good turntables tucked away in closets
all over the country. The CD is fine for convenience and stuff like that
but nothing beats the sound of a good vinyl LP. Even when my only table was
on the fritz and I had no way to listen to LP's I still went to record shows
and added to my collection. I knew it would only be a matter of time before
I could locate a table. People are almost giving away LP's these days.
There just isn't any demand for them. The thing is, aside from sound
quality, much of the music that was published on LP has not been republished
on CD.
It was good to hear from you!
Later........................ .gw.
