I agree. In fact, based on the current trends, we are going to see 300
baud users increase over the next decade, rather than decrease. The
reason for this is that people are finally realizing there is no money
or purpose in hanging onto their old computers and 300 baud modems.
These hoarded computers are finally being dumped into the used market
channels, or being given away.
Given that the number of North American workers falling below the
poverty line is increasing steadily, we can expect to see a steady
increase in demand for 300 baud and 1200 bps service. All the
conditions are right for this, even though it seems counter-intuitive at
first.
And let's face it, for many people, 300 baud is faster than 0 baud! :-)
