James in an earlier post I suggested that lens flare may be causing the problem.

That could be tested by using a mask to only look at the last zone with
robo2.  Compare  the reading changes with or without the mask.  If it
doesn't change much then I guess flare was not the cause.

I would do this myself except I have no mirror that I can test presently. 
My 16" F5 is just starting to be polished.
