How about some real funding for NASA?  Or is funding the wealthy
a higher priority for Mr. Trump & Co.?

 MP> "This high-level group advises the president and comprises the leaders of
 MP> government agencies with a stake in space, including the NASA
 MP> administrator, the Secretaries of State, Commerce, Defense, and others,
and
 MP> will be chaired by Vice President Mike Pence.

The Congress appropriates funding.  What funding has been
approprriated for NASA?  Not much.  And it does not appear
the current administration is interested in increasing the
level of funding anytime soon.

 MP> It will help ensure that all aspects of
 MP> the nation's space power -- national security, commerce, international
 MP> relations, exploration, and science, are coordinated and aligned to best
 MP> serve the American people.  A Users' Advisory Group also will be convened
 MP> so that the interests of industries and other non-federal entities are
 MP> represented.

With little funding available to do anything of note, it really
makes no difference what this "National Space Council" advocates.

 MP> "The establishment of the council is another demonstration of the Trump
 MP> Administration's deep interest in our work, and a testament to the
 MP> importance of space exploration to our economy, our nation, and the planet
 MP> as a whole."

Show me the money, honey.
