Well I finally managed to get this modem up and running.
It turns out the reason I couldn't get the software
to install was because I had a hard drive that was dying.
I only found this our after many long hours trying to
get things going.
It set itself up on com3 IRQ 10 even though I turned off
com2 in the bios.
 A couple of questions...
Fax reception... The Windows FaxTalk Messenger that came
with the modem works fine but I don't want to be using windows
 all the time.
I use Terminate in host mode so I can receive faxes and have
access to my files from a remote location but I can't get the
fax to work (I had it working perfectly with my Supra 144i)
I've tried using a setting similiar to the one I used with
my Supra 144i FaxModem but no luck.
  Was something changed?
  Next...
Is the SupraExpress 288i PNP capable of being flash upgraded?
When I log on to my ISP I can connect with no problem
but after a while (sometimes in just a few minutes)
I'll start getting errors (the downloading stops)
and then the next thing I know I'm offline (disconnect)
this is starting to get a little irritating...
I'll have 95% of a large file downloaded and then bang...
 I'm disconnected.
Is there anything I can do to stop this?
