Why the heck would he want to do that? Windows does NOT like an empty
comport between used ones, and some programs also don't. It's SO
simple to disable the existing Comport, AND it could save him many
headaches in the future.

THAT is certainly not a good idea. IRQ 2 is used to cascade to 9-16 on
a 386 or better, and will cause MAJOR problems if used for anything.
