No, MLB is realigning. The NBA doesn't need it because after all these years, 
they've got the best alignment in sports (I hate to say it but your alignment 
didn't make any sense at all. It would increase travel by a heck of a lot and 
the idea is to make it easier). MLB's realignment option is as good as what 
you have in the NBA but it might upset a lot of traditionalists because it 
mixes up the old leagues. The NFL's needed this kind of realignment but they 
won't do it because NFC East teams don't want to lose Dallas as an opponent 
(and major drawing card).
