Little is still some.  I try to keep the fantasy elements firmly embedded

I contend that Trek is not so broken that it cannot be
"realistically" portrayed.  Some things must be hand waved to get
around them, like transporters.  OK we do not explain the technology, it
simply works.
 That is an fantasy as you want to be getting.
