Yeppers. Here, many people (including me) keep their passport with them if
there's a slightest chance of a trip abroad - like, say, a boat trip to
Estonia on a nice summer day, or pop by the Russian side to buy a load of
cheap vodka for the weekend party, or why not go to Stockholm for the
weekend, it's really nice in the summer...

A passport is a pretty small item to carry along.
