subject: Auto boot

Note: Reference the following. I run my BBS during limited hours - 9PM
to 8AM.
In my pre Windows days, I auto-started Maximus from a BASIC program
that poked in a WARM BOOT. I then had my computer configured
(AUTOEXEC.BAT) to come up with MAXIMUS. (Note: The warm boot was
necessary to kick BASIC out of memory, else there was insufficient room
to start Max. I.e., you cannot SHELL out of a BASIC program to Max.
MAX.BAT would restart the BASIC program at the appropriate error
level, so I didn't have to attend to anything here. BASIC can work with
the TIME$, which allowed for selecting the warm-boot time.)
For several reasons, I don't wish to go this route now. Neither do I
want to use one of the programs out there that do this. I would like to
start Max at a particular time from a BATCH file. However, I find myself
unable to come up with a method of doing this. If anyone has any ideas,
I would appreciate hearing about them. Basically, all that's need is a
BATCH file method of kicking BASIC out of memory.
****
In the event I have to go back to the WARM-BOOT method, does anyone have
the warm-boot POKEs? I lost them when I upgraded to Win95 and a new
computer.
