Reminds me of the time I ordered 40 (count em, 40!) "2-3 foot
tall" evergreen trees for something like $24.95. The package arrived
with 40 2' long sticks in it  39 died, but one grew to 20' or so
before I moved. I replaced the others with real arbor vitae trees from
local sources.

I used to grow a lot of vegetables too (corn being the very best thing to
grow yourself for that incredible freshness) and I recall a
hedgehog/groundhog was starting to steal my stuff, so I borrowed a gun and
had him dead in my sights, then said to myself, "eh, we can barely eat
all the crops as it is" and pulled the gun to the left and just scared
him a bit.
