| subject: | Tony Bliar hates fathers. |
Tony Bliar promises to tax married fathers most, single men next, and then women across the board, to pay for their own maternity pay. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4304417.stm This of course is only going to benefit working women. How odd, it seems that no matter what he promises, it only ever seems to aid women who have to work to pay the bills. So there you go girls, with the extra money you're paying yourself out of your own future taxation, you can afford to buy more chocolate and prozac to calm your nerves. Except you can't afford to, because the very fact you're working means your mortgage is higher. In the short term of course, Tony's going to take this from the people that work the hardest, that is, married fathers, who work the longest hours of the four groups. Stealing from Peter to pay Paul to vote for him. You've got to admit it though, haven't you? Gordon Brown's a clever lad. What else can you call a man who encourages a woman, who'd rather be at home teaching the kids to speak, and putting them on the right course in life, to leave her children in the hands of someone else, and sacrifice her chance to see its first steps, words, and smiles, by giving her back a small percentage of the tax he's taking from her, which she has to spend anyway, (and then some) on the childcare that she wouldn't need if she wasn't working. It would take a genius to con a whole group of women like that, and he's not, but fortunately he has a different tactic. It's simply to tax women who stay at home, so they can't afford to. --- UseNet To RIME Gateway {at} 2/28/05 9:34:15 AM ---* Origin: MoonDog BBS, Brooklyn,NY, 718 692-2498, 1:278/230 (1:278/230) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 278/230 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
