-> On 19 Mar 09 17:23:02, Richard Webb got back to Dan Ceppa -> Re: wikipedia, was war crimes RW> ONe, a professor, will automatically fail any student using RW> wiki as a reference in college level research etc. DC> That's the way it schould be. My daughter had a teacher who should DC> have failed himself. He required research papers be only taken fron DC> the cd dictionary on the school's computers. Easier for the asshole DC> to check the students' references, doncha see. RW> That teacher should be fired, maybe even ... aw RW> forget it! I won't even go there. I fought with the school board over that. I think I won in the long run, but it was sort of moot as my daughter moved on to different teachers. The info my daughter gleened from the encyclopedia was woefully out of date. Worse, it was inaccurate. It was when I pointed out those flaws to my daughter that she told me of the one-source only requirement. Yes, I was livid. --- OMX/Blue Wave/DOS v2.30* Origin: Soundly on the Fault Line (1:138/666.0) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 34/999 120/228 123/500 128/2 140/1 226/0 249/303 250/306 SEEN-BY: 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1418 266/1413 280/1027 320/119 396/45 SEEN-BY: 633/260 267 285 712/848 800/432 801/161 189 2222/700 2320/100 105 SEEN-BY: 2905/0 @PATH: 138/666 146 140/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
