I remember a discussion we had concerning passing arguments to functions. The following question and answer concerns a MIPS (RISC) computer. It looks like both sides were correct. Q: What are registers $a0 - $a3 used for ? A: These registers are used to pass the first 4 arguments to routines. Any subsequent arguments are passed on the stack. Registers $v0 and $v1 are used to return values from functions. þ CMPQwk 1.42 999 --- Maximus/2 3.01* Origin: COMM Port OS/2 juge.com 204.89.247.1 (281) 980-9671 (1:106/2000) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 106/2000 1 379/1 633/267 |
