subject: passive rebroadcast

-> Is there anyone out thhere that knows about the subject of passive
-> rebroadcasting? The connecting of 2 antennas back to back to rebroadc
-> signal into an area where there is none.
->
-> What i want to do is have an antenna on the mountain opposite to
-> receive tv signals from a nearby city and have them beamed into my
-> place where theres no tv signals at all. I believe it can be done by
-> pointing one aerial to the transmitter and connecting an amp and
-> linking to a second aerial to it via coax to rebroadcast the signal?
  In the subject line you say PASSIVE but in the Text you talk about
Amplificationj. Passive is OK and all yuo need to do is Connect the
Antennas back to back and do it. But if Amplification is involved first
you would need the use sometype of frequency conversion to prevent
feedback between antennas. That would make it a Translator. And that
requires a FCC Permit.
