I love it, but don't do it much.  No one else here will put cheddar on
the pie, even if it is great.  Ice cream yes.  A good vanilla ice
cream on a fresh apple pie....  Fresh nutmeg, just a bit, grated
onto the ice cream....  Whipped cream does about as well.  
 
OTOH, fact is, I could sit there with a bowl of whipped cream and a
spoon and just demolish the whole thing!
