I spoke to the ABC in sydney a few years ago about the airing of a repeat 
of the series and was told that at the time of the original purchase the 
rights were only for an original screening, and later when the asked about 
buying repeat rights the were told that the repeat rights were unavailable. 
The person I was talking to said that this was the first time that this had 
occured to them without being told who had the rights so they could 
approach them. I hope this has changed since then.
